The Killing Fields

Watched this a few days back on a DVD bought from Cambodia.  A recommended movie.

Based on true history of Cambodia:

Touching and thoughts-evoking.  If you wanna watch, can borrow from me.

Blue Pumpkin & Swensens

5 Jul

Blue Pumpkin, we probably dunno why it’s called so.  Air-con place to nua, reasonable food, nice looking dessert and bread.  It’s the 1st place we had our meal!

Amazingly, there isn’t MacDonald’s in Cambodia.

Incredibly, there is Swensens!

Rubbish Dump

4 Jul

Singapore’s waste is treated pretty well.  At Cambodia, the waste is dumped here.  Smelly man.  So much untreated waste.  An eye-opener, and a nose-opener.  Eeks!

Angkor Beer

4 Jul

In Cambodia, there’s Angkor Wat.  And there’s lots of things name after “Angkor”.  Here, Angkor Beer.  Some places price it at US$0.50!  Some slightly higher.  Nice to have chilled and cheap beer.  A little tipsy, luckily not drunk this time.  =)

Phnom Bakheng

3 Jul

The 1st temple we visited in Cambodia.  Steep steps.  Nice view, too bad sunset was covered by clouds.
